Flea to release Helen Burns EP to raise money for Silverlake

Yesterday Flea announced via his Twitter page that he’ll be releasing an EP titled Helen Burns in the next few days. Funds raised from sales of the EP will be go towards Flea’s L.A. music school, “The Silverlake Conservatory of Music.”

Flea, anunció ayer a través de su página de Twitter que él va a lanzar un EP titulado Helen Burns en los próximos días. Los fondos recaudados de las ventas del EP se destinarán a la escuela de música de Flea en LA, "The Silverlake Conservatory of Music".

The EP was recorded shortly after the Stadium Arcadium Tour and will feature mostly instrumental songs, with Flea playing most of the instruments, including Trumpet, Bass, Synthesizers, Drum machine, Piano, and a “bunch of other shit”. American singer/songwriter, Patti Smith will also perform vocals on at least one track. In one of his tweets Flea described the sound as “not rhcp music or even close to it. it is a trippy freakout”.

 El EP fue grabado poco después del Tour de Stadium Arcadium y contará en la mayoría con canciones instrumentales, con Flea tocando la mayoría de los instrumentos, incluyendo trompeta, bajo, sintetizadores, batería, piano, y un "montón de otras mierdas". El cantante/cantautor americana, Patti Smith realizará voces en al menos una canción. En uno de sus tweets Flea describió el sonido como "música no RHCP o cerca de ella. se trata de un freakout trippy ". 

 The Helen Burns EP will be available in digital and vinyl formats. Fans will be able to specify how much they’d like to pay for the digital version. An autographed vinyl version will also be released for $75.00, which also includes a piece of Flea’s Bass String which was used during one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Concerts.

El Helen Burns EP estará disponible en formato digital y vinilo. Los aficionados podrán especificar la cantidad que desean pagar por la versión digital. Una versión de vinilo autografiado también será lanzado por $ 75.00, que también incluye un pedazo de cuerda del bajo de Flea, que se usó durante uno de los conciertos de Red Hot Chili Peppers.
