About the Brendan’s Death Song Music Video

The main concept for the video was to shoot it in a Jazz Funeral style, which was fitting for the meaning the band intended for Brendan’s Death Song. Musically it also suited the structural progression of the song itself.

The Jazz Funeral concept involved musicians playing in a marching band formation throughout the funeral procession. The first part of the video takes place during the day, where the funeral band plays as the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform while being driven along on a black Ford Pickup Truck Hearse. The final act of the video takes place at night and sees the band performing at McDonoghville Cemetery in Louisiana, where they perform against a backdrop of burning letters that reads “Death Song”.

El principal concepto para el video fue disparar un estilo Jazz Funeral, que fue el conveniente elegido por la banda para la intención de Brendan's Death Song. Musicalmente también es adecuado el avance estructural de la canción en sí.

El concepto de Funeral Jazz incluye musicos tocando en una formación de banda, que marcha durante el cortejo fúnebre. La primera parte del video se lleva a cabo durante el día, donde la banda funeral toca como los RHCP, mientras se traslada en un coche fúnebre Ford. El acto final del video se realiza de noche y ve a la banda tocando en el cementerio de McDonoghville, en Louisiana, donde tocan alrededor de un letrero de llamas que dice: "Canción de la Muerte"
